Final Work Term Project

I know that this is a little late considering I graduated about three weeks ago, and I had this project done before that. But I wanted to post some photos that I took of the finished signs that I created for a local business, the Kensington Country Store, as well as a few early concept images.

Two Illustrations and some sketches

This was done for my Digital Illustration class, with the subject being "My College Experience"

This was my final assignment for Digital Illustration class.

These are just some quick sketches that I had done over the last couple of weeks that I thought turned out pretty well.

This is a quick Flash image of a character I made while watching "Hulk vs. Thor"

Work Term

Over the last two years of college I have slowly been working away at the work term hours that I need in order to graduate. I have worked on a few small projects up until now. my first project was done last year at around this time, I created a 10 second movie to be submitted to the Toronto Animated Image Society for the Monster Jam, animation jam, that they were putting on last year. I also did the Chapman Barbarian designs that I posted a few weeks ago as another project. The most recent project that I worked on was an experimental animation project that one of the current first year students was working on and needed a hand with. It was my job to do the animation for a few of the scenes that she already had the story and everything planned out for.

Skills Canada 2009

I was able to participate in this years Skills Canada Competition, in the 2D Character Animation category at the Post Secondary level. We were required to create a character design and story boards off of a script that was given to us, and then animate the scenario as close to the storyboards as possible.
The scenario was: A fully of himself ninja bunny is walking along and comes across a door standing in the middle of nowhere, it doesn't open when he tries it. After that we were given creative freedom to end the scene as we wished.

I was awarded the Gold Medal at my level for the following animation.

Class Project 2009

This is a compilation of the scenes that I had done for my part of a class project. I was also involved in helping with the concept ideas, as well as storyboards, and a few of the background and prop designs. When I get permission I will post the full video.

Sketches and Paintings

This is just going to be a dump of a bunch sketches and things that I have done, that show some of what I consider my better work, and some different things that I've done.

This was done as an assignment for Digital Illustration class, with the middle version being done using Corel Painter. While the version on the right was done in my free time using Photoshop, in a more of my own style.

This is a sketch done for a Life Drawing assignment. I will post the final color version of this when it is complete.

This was a part of a commission that I did, for the Nova Scotia Agricultural College's Chapman House Residence. The design was supposed to go on T-Shirts but was canned and replaced with the following design.

The rest of these images are just some sketches and paintings that I had done for fun. Enjoy!

Rope Climb Animation

This was an animation test that I did for class, the objective being: to have the character climb the rope and out of screen in between 6 and 8 seconds, showing gravity, weight, balance, and timing, as well as secondary action.
